Six regions, six completely different sets of birds. From the snowline of the High Atlas to the acacia scrub of the Western Sahara, this is where our tours go and what you can expect to find.
South-east Morocco
The great sand sea of Erg Chebbi and the stony hammada around Rissani hold Morocco’s classic desert birds. Seasonal lakes can appear after rain and pull in wildfowl and waders in the middle of the dunes. This is our home ground — the company was founded here.

Central Morocco
A two-hour drive from Marrakech takes you to the snowline at Oukaimeden. The high slopes, boulder fields and juniper hold the mountain endemics, while the cultivated valleys below add a different set of species on the way up.

Dades Valley
The Tagdilt Track is one of the best-known birding sites in Morocco — an expanse of high, open, stony desert that is worth working at dawn and again in the late afternoon. Nearby Dades and Todra gorges add cliff-nesting raptors.

Agadir & the west
The coast south and north of Agadir holds the Oued Massa and Oued Souss estuaries, the Souss-Massa National Park, and the coastal scrub at Tamri where the world’s last truly wild population of Northern Bald Ibis feeds.

The far south
The southernmost corner of Morocco holds species found nowhere else in the region, and the best desert mammal watching in the country. Nights are spent camping at Oued Jenna, with excursions for nightjars, Fennec Fox and Sand Cat.

Rabat, Middle Atlas & the high plains
The north is where Morocco looks most Mediterranean — coastal lagoons, cork oak and cedar forest, and the wide high plains at Zaida. It holds a set of species the desert tours never reach.
